Cromwell began drawing at a very early age encouraged by her grandparents, both of whom were traditional artists specialising in oils. As a child she explored her creativity using watercolours, crayons, chalks and graphite pencils, and in so doing, established a solid foundation in the field of visual arts. Over time Cromwell slowly developed a passion for anime which led her into the world of digital art, where in turn, she was drawn toward motion graphics and processing.

In 2022, encouraged by her grandfather, Cromwell embraced her fears and vulnerabilities and began sharing her art through NFTs. Though her artistic talent spans several genres including 3D, animation and illustration, her focus is on Generative Art through Processing. Each piece she creates begins as a simple sketch or concept. Then using a blend of intuition and logic, the initial expression is translated into a generative system using processing. By varying the parameters and experimenting with different algorithms Cromwell creates visual compositions that respond to real-time data.

As a self taught artist, Cromwell’s work is not governed by the establishment. She prides herself on art that breaks free from trends, art that has soul, art that has the ability to evoke a sense of wonder and curiosity in the viewer.

Art with “it’s own soul and reason for being”, says Cromwell of each unique piece she creates.

Music plays a significant role in many of Cromwell’s pieces. She creates the music to accompany the visual using open source Ai. Then with her exquisite attention to detail, she tweaks her code commands ensuring all elements are working in perfect synergy, enhancing the viewer experience.

“It’s about finding the balance between human intention and algorithmic autonomy” says Cromwell.

Coral Pulse is a superb example of the synergy achieved through visuals and music.

Cromwell is a highly driven individual, who strives to create pieces that excite and evoke. She is inspired by the contemporary 3D artists & motion designers like ego/Egamberdiev, Alessio De Vecchi, Alpha Coded, and Ployz, as well as sensory experiences which might spark a new concept. Once ignited Cromwell then sets about learning the skills she requires to bring that concept to life.
Family is one of the key motivating forces behind Cromwell, the artist. She has the ambitious goal of gaining financial independence through art, and were she to achieve this, it would enable her to fulfill her burning desire to spend more quality time with them.

Since beginning on Access Protocol in December 2023, Cromwell has gained a reputation for delivering high quality audio-visual works. She currently mints her work across two main collections, Cromwell’s Visuals and Crom’s Domain.
Visuals is a selection of reactive audio-visual pieces generated through creative code and visual programming language, while Domain is a series of pieces designed as dynamic backgrounds for use on computers and phones.
She also creates custom 1/1 audio-visuals for her top three subscribers each month.
